Felipe Lamoglia is a Grammy winner saxophonist, composer, and arranger. He started the studies of saxophone with the age of 9 at the city of Holguin, Cuba, also studying at the prestigious Superior Institute of Arts (ISA) in Havana. His big professional opportunity came at age of 18, being hired to play with NG La Banda one of the most acclaimed Cuban orchestras ever, funded by ex-integrants of Irakere. In 1992 traveling to Sao Paulo, Brazil, for a musical exchange program with the University of Sao Paulo, Felipe went to live in Brazil for seven year.
Brazil musical and spiritual wealth through all those years was undeniable, as well as the opportunity to play and learn with great artists including Raul de Souza, Arismar do Espirito Santo, Sizao Machado, Pepe Cisneros, Cuca Teixeira, Michel Leme, Sandro Haig, and others, also performing regulary with the acclaimed Bocato's band recording two albums together and touring all over Brazil and twice to Europe including the Montreux jazz festival.
